From the moment you've arrived at Coral Reef Guesthouse, Meet The Innkeeper you know you're in for some friendly, relaxing, tropical fun. Your hosts, Frank and Bruce, have seen to it that Coral Reef offers everything you'd expect from comfortable, informal, and intimate gay accommodations. But it's their warm hospitality, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail that you'll feel and see in every corner, and that will make your stay truly a cut above. No wonder we're attracting discerning men from around the world!
Established in 1997, Coral Reef Guesthouse is located on a quiet street in upscale, residential Coral Ridge, near the Intracoastal Waterway. There is plentiful, designated free parking in front of the property. A ten-minute drive (or a little longer, on one of our complimentary bikes) takes you to gay Sebastian Street Beach or, in the other direction, the heart of gay Fort Lauderdale: Wilton Manors. There, on Wilton Drive, you can hobnob with the locals, while browsing a variety of gay bars, shops, and eateries.
A pleasant, ten-minute walk brings you to Fort Lauderdale’s acclaimed Galleria, with numerous restaurants and shops, as well as Saks, Neiman Marcus, and Macy's. Borders Books, with a waterfront café, is just as near and stays open late. Venture across the Middle River Bridge to the Gateway Shops, more restaurants, and the Gateway Theater, our local independent (gay) cinema.
Everything else you've come for – state parks, downtown shopping and dining, Las Olas and River Walk strolling, and a host of nighttime hotspots – is close, too. Thirty minutes will take you to the nude beach at Haulover Park, and 45 minutes, to the neon-lit shores of Miami's South Beach.
Our staff is your personal concierge: we're happy to give pointers, suggestions, and info about anything you might need. Find the latest local listings publications and travel magazines, along with a computer station and internet access, just off the pool area. That's next to the kitchen, where you can help yourself to light afternoon snacks, and a tasty, plentiful, continental breakfast.
Aren't you more relaxed just thinking about your visit? Come join the other men already charmed by Coral Reef's casual, attentive sophistication. We're here to help you make hot and happy memories, under the Florida sun and stars!

Meet the Innkeeper
For Bruce Simpson, running a guesthouse in Fort Lauderdale is a natural fit. It's the perfect opportunity to unite thirteen years of hospitality and corporate-events experience with a variety of personal passions — like meeting people from all over; working and living in a vibrant gay community; keeping up on design and landscaping (both at the guesthouse, and via local cultural institutions); and, of course, enjoying an active, outdoor life alongside a warm, blue ocean.
"I know what I like, when I travel", Bruce points out. He understands the importance of details and anticipates what people need to feel comfortable – hallmarks of a good host. And, he adds, "We have a great staff that enjoys being here as much as I do."
Count on Bruce to take a personal interest in your vacation, and to add a little more warmth to your already tropical visit.
