 With 171 double/twin rooms, great facilities and a glorious location slap bang next to the Yumbo with direct access from the Hotel, we feel this hotel well deserves it's four star rating. With local gay beaches a comfortable stroll away, the heart of the gay scene and Playa del Ingles' bustling restaurants and gay night life on its doorstep this all-inclusive option hotel has proved very popular with gay travellers. And to top it all off this the hotel has been carving a niche for itself by offering adults only accommodation, something some of our guests have come to appreciate considerably.
There's a large pool surrounded by extensive sunterraces, a poolside bar and snack bar, a buffet-style restaurant (lavish dinner, by the way) an indoor bar and various lounges.
In the evenings, two or three times a week, there is live music and karaoke, or you can simply enjoy a relaxing drink in the piano bar.
General Facilities
First and foremost we should mention a great pool that is, somewhat unusually for Gran Canaria, heated in winter – just right for warming the cockles of your heart. A large sun terrace with a great snack bar for lunches you'll not want to leave the Neptunos surroundings during the day. Night times are also well catered for with and expansive buffet style rest which puts on a fair dinkum spread all served by the friendly and efficient staff as you'd expect of a four star hotel. This best selling hotel rounds your day off by featuring regular evening entertainment and also has a piano bar for more relaxing pre dinner drinkies.
The staff here are efficient and friendly without being stuffy, and it's this combination of quality, service and location which makes has made the Neptuno very popular hotel for gay travellers. That and the fact that it's great being able to stagger back to your hotel from a night out in the Yumbo in two minutes flat, whatever your choice of footwear.
Room Facilities
Every room has twin beds, satellite LCD TV, a phone, full bathroom with hairdryer and colour-showers, a mini-bar, tea and coffee making facilities, a balcony and a private bathroom. Cleaning and towel change takes place every day of the week and your bedlinen is changed three times a week. Singles can opt to receive a twin room for sole use which is rather nice, isn't it?
