 This 402 room, four star mixed hotel really does have quite a lot going for it. Recently refurbished and handily located more or less midway between the Yumbo and the gay beach, the gay & lesbian friendly Hotel Catarina is perfect for those of you whose preference is for a good quality, mainstream base with a good range of facilities, half board & all inclusive.
This gay friendly hotel is located in Playa del Inglés, very close to the Dunes of Maspalomas and around 900 metres from the gay & nudist beach itself, which can be reached using our free bus service. The IFA Catarina Hotel has all the facilities for a relaxing holiday. Here you will find your own haven of peace and quiet in the large, breathtaking subtropical gardens which comprise two swimming pools, two jacuzzis and a waterfall. The IFA Catarina is an excellent choice for accommodation, cuisine and leisure activities. General Facilities
With two swimming pools and three whirlpools, those of you who like splashing about won't find the Catarina wanting. You won't be disappointed if you like a drink, either, as there's a pool bar, a cafe bar and a cocktail bar...with a daily happy hour. Attractive, landscaped gardens provide an eye pleasing backdrop to your day, and if you've brought along your balls and a racquet you'll be able to shout "anyone for tennis?" in a loud posh voice before heading off to one of the hotel's courts. If, however, you'd rather spend your time sunbathing in the buff, then you might want to take advantage of the hotel's naturist roof terrace.
There's a choice of restaurants: the buffet style Fata Morgana and the à la carte El Rancho, with discounts for guests on half board.

Classic hotel in Playa del Ingles, recently renewed, with two freshwater swimming pools heated in winter, with jacuzzi on each one and a cascade. The pool area is surrounded by a subtropical garden and terraces with umbrellas and sun beds for guests. The hotel entertainment team organize daily a variety of games and sport contests and it has 2 tennis courts (extra charge) with a school attended by a professional teacher, table tennis, shuffle board, gymnastics and aerobics.
Room facilities
Spacious, bright and air conditioned, the Catarina's well furnished rooms are attractively decorated with ensuite bathrooms, a private furnished balcony and satellite TV. Larger than most hotel rooms, you'll find there's more than enough room for chilling indoors when the sun gets too much, without that claustrophobic feeling you sometimes get in a hotel. Maid service, hardly surprisingly, takes place every day.
The hotel has 5 floors and large double rooms divided into a sitting and a sleeping areas with twin beds, air conditioning in summer season, telephone, safe deposit box (Local charge), electronic security door lock with a magnetic key-card, full furnished bathroom and a large balcony.
